Mark Petrie
Composer
I am a busy composer with a substantial credit list working in L.A. but am always on the look out for talented up and coming filmmakers to collaborate with. Budget isn't necessarily an issue - if the project makes sense for me to take on, I will do what it takes to deliver to you a top-quailty polished score that exceeds your wildest expectations. My past and present clients will tell you - my music will lift your project to a new level.
Feel free to contact me at mark@markpetrie.com
My website will be updated shortly, but in the meantime I have a temporary page where you can listen to some of my work:

Mark Petrie grew up in New Zealand, where he first studied piano and composition. Passionate about film music from an early age, he traveled to Boston, MA in 1999 after receiving a scholarship to study film scoring at Berklee College of Music. Since completing his degree in 2002, Mark has gone on to compose for a wide range of award winning films including Café and Tobacco starring Enrique Murciano (Miss Congeniality 2, Black Hawk Down) and Corrado Schoner Productions’ Murder Reincarnated starring Cristián de la Fuente (Basic, Driven). In 2004 Mark was chosen amongst hundreds of other composers to work with legendary composer Mike Post, as one of the winners of the BMI Pete Carpenter Fellowship.
Mark’s score to Café and Tobacco won best score at the 2004 Moondance Film Festival.
He now resides in Los Angeles, having worked full time assisting composers for reality television shows. He also composes regularly for commercials and film projects produced worldwide. |
