Greetings all. I am new to CompoerTalk. I have been volunteering my skills as a composer/arranger since 1983. Currently beginning to develop a business plan. If you are currently doing the same, or have recently developed a business plan as a composer/arranger, please drop me a line so I don't have to re-invent the wheel. Yes, you read correctly... I have been giving away my creative nature for more than 20 years!

Now I would like to get paid for my creative genius. Any tips are welcome.

Welcome to ComposerTalk.com - I've worked my entire life as a performer and producer. I've had business plans for specific ventures but not as a whole.

As you could probably guess, I've had a lot of times where I was raking in the dough, and many times where I was scraping meals together just to eat. But I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Best advice I got was to fill your schedule full to the brim with any jobs including free jobs - then just start replacing those with paid jobs. Pretty soon you're doing all paid jobs.

Post some links to your work when you get a chance. Thanks!
