Hello Beethoven lovers...

1. I got the nine Beethoven's symphonies, played by Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Sir Simon Rattle (Emi Collection). Have any of you heard this record? If you have, do you have any comments about?

2. Which record do you think is the best of the Complete Nine Beethoven's Symphonies?

I like 9th the best, but maybe just because I've heard it so many times....

I have a set by the Liverpool Philharmonic conducted by Sir Charles Mackerras.
I've heard a few others including Karajans 1963 set, but this just blows me away. It's fast, but probably true to Beethovens intentions. The seventh is my favourite...just stunning in it's ever upward reaching ecstacy.
