Finale just announced it's latest software release which includes a midi mixer and optional add-on of orchestral playback samples.

What this means, is you can play your parts into for example an orchestral template, and hear the parts played back as you make adjustments to your score.

It's about time they integrated this together and I wanted everyone to know about it. I personally do a lot of orchestrations for soundtracks but I do everything by ear and midi so there's no need for actual orchestra scores. It's a real pain to import the midi files for printing so it's available.

It's very rare I promote a product, so please check it out. It's good stuff.
